Resentful
This was my very first incursion to drawing after a hiatus of over three decades. They are raw, unpolished, and I much enjoyed creating them.
Â
I am curled up in a tight, tight ball. I can't get out nor see the sun. I feel a dark rock in my heart.
Pain that was held in the solar plexus comes out vulcanic and unleashed.
I don't know what else to do... swaying between giving up or holding on to prideful stifness.
It is so dark in here, it hurts in my belly.
The anger that clenches the jaw and the fists, no perception of the beauty outside this tight bubble.
Needing redemption:Â I am curious and ready to step out. The door is tiny, but I will fit. What 'wonderland' lies outside?
